The Association of KWPN stallion owners is a professional partner for breeders of horses. The primary task is to protect the interests of 150 member stallion owners, which hold or exploit KWPN approved or recognised stallions.
The total value of KWPN-stallions covers an amount of approximately € 21 millions. These stallions realise a turnover € 10.5 million per year on fertilisation premiums. The bigger part of it has been realised by members of the Association.

The turnover of the stallion owners is even more considering that many stallion owners also act as a facility company. They took the search of stallions and preparing and presenting of stallions, skids and horses as a profession.  

Moreover many stallion owners introduce their stallions into sport competitions. Whoever wants to breed a sport horse, appreciates to be convinced of both the breed technical and the sports value of the stallion.

The stallion owners have undergone an enormous development in the last two decades. The introduction of artificial insemination, the rise of frozen sperm, European legislation on fertilisation stations and stallion owners, the wish and need to introduce stallions to sport competition and the certification of stallion owners has changed the environment completely.

At the beginning of the 21st century the Association and its members have anticipated on the most modern developments in contemporary sport horse breeding. Professional, quality-aware and customer-orientated.
