Activities of the association of stallion owners

Taking part in represented consultation
The association of KWPN stallion owners is part of the Federation of Associations of stallion owners. This Federation has a seat in the Sector Council of Horses, falling under the Productschap for Cattle, Meat and Eggs. Additionally, the Association, through the Federation, forms part of the Cupola Breeding. The Federation is as of 2003 also responsible for the implementation of Voluntary Certification stallion owners. The practical implementation of this regulation lies at the Association of KWPN stallion owners.

Protection of interests of KWPN Association of stallion owners.  
Where necessary and desirable the Association looks after and defends the interests of the members by positioning and consultation, amongst others with governments, sports organisations and the governing board and the breeding management of the KWPN.

Arbitration  
For disputes between members in case of buying and hiring, a good defined arbitration procedure exists. By such arbitration, legal proceedings, which are often expensive and time-consuming are avoided.

General conditions on fertilisation
The association has established general conditions on fertilisation. Through these the rights and duties of stallion and mare owners have been clearly defined. Any dispute can be checked against the conditions.

Service on central debt collection
The Association receives for stallion owners, who use this form of service, fertilise payments and other money. Mare owners receive for rendered services an acceptgiro form and if necessary summations. Debt collection procedures in case of non-payment are provided for.
